The Barcelona Ramblas is perhaps one of the famous location in Spain and its reputation has reached the entire world. Today it is considered as one of the most emblematic streets in Europe, a point of attractions for millions of tourists a year.

Walking down Las Ramblas is definitely one of the top experiences for the visitor to Barcelona. While walking this lovely street I would recommend to start from up to down, that means from Plaza Catalunya to the old port.

These are th things you should pay attention to when you walk in Las Ramblas:

1. first and most important, keep your eyes open and wach out for pick pocketing, there are plenty of them, especially in high seazon, week ends, holidays and other dates when the street is very crouded.

2. The animals stands: these are authentic stands that sells animals, they were not craated for the tourists! You can by there small animals and equippment such as mice, birds, turtles, rabbits... is you have such animals you can buy there foos and complements.

3. The human statues: perhaps the main attraction of the Ramblas. There are there for the tourists and some of them are really good! Don't forget to through them a coin if you want to their act.

4. Gifts shops: the gisfts shops on the Ramblas are very recommended, prices are fairly adjusted and they have a wide offer of all kind of gifts at all prices. The FC Barcelona shirts, as well as other clubs are at good price and are all original.

5. I would NOT recommend you to eat in any of the restaurants on the Ramblas, espeially not in the tapas bars, they are extremely tourist orieted and there is nothing nothing authentic about them. 6. Don't be temptated to play the "find the ball" on the street, it looks very easy and the poeple that you will see playing and winning are all friends of the gay that deal the ball! As soonas you will play big amout you will "suddenly" loose.
